DoodleMaths Summer Challenge designed to engage and motivate children to continue their learning throughout the summer at home.
Many Islington schools are set-up with Doodle and it is important to set-up this challenge with families.  Katy has a number of DoodleMaths family subscriptions available.

Urgent Online Safety Updates + Health Wellbeing ScreenTime Tips for Families 

Schools have reported a number of very serious online safety incidents during the lockdown period and continue to use a range of communication channels with children and families at home to share Online Safety support inc fun challenges, newsletter reminders and scripted weekly phone call. *internet use during the night is a key concern.

The DFE published this new guidance for parents  last Friday, not all parents will have capacity to digest this document and schools should consider using bitesize reminders, with practical ideas for boundaries e.g. tech at bedtime and during the night.  The CMO guidance on Screen time as been recommended and page 11 has a useful image  and this from Mental Health org, very visual and accessible for most families.

Islington lead teachers, supported by Sue Adams will be completing an Islington Progression template ready for September.
