Latest Remote Learning, Policy Addendums, Case studies & Good Practice Session
https://islington-gov.j2bloggy.com/Islington-Computing-Online-Safety/remote-education-policy-template-policies-dfe-req

A huge thanks to Islington Schools for joining the Remote Learning Sharing Session with Jeff Cole, secondary school improvement last week.  Feedback from schools was so inspiring and very much in line with Stephen Heppell’s statements – that the pandemic is triggering major transformation in education (usually every 75 years)
And headlines indicated whole school, SLT, subject specific good practice, with this being “New way of Learning not Remote Learning” and other headlines include:

“not remote learning but learning – blended Learning” and “online flipped learning becoming the new normal and practice in classrooms” “protecting the curriculum”

“online learning walks, digital exercise books + work scrutiny” – It was very much owned whole school and not an IT persons job, which is vital.

Magic Christmas Digital Resources to include in the schools newsletter

Remote Learning Behaviour and Acceptable Use Agreements Reminder
There have been a number of serious incidents during Remote Learning reported with breaches of Behaviour and Acceptable Use Agreements, including children filming teachers during live lessons.  This is a reminder of the resources available to support robust Policy for children and parents supporting at home when children are isolating, which embeds the school behaviour and associated policy, as well as written AUP and includes routine reminders at start of each lesson.  Template policy examples are available https://www.lgfl.net/online-safety and  https://swgfl.org.uk/resources/online-safety-policy-templates/ and additional support is available to Islington schools via this Computing and Online safety SLA,
